The atmospheric corrosion resistance of aluminum zinc alloy coated steel plate is 2-6 times higher than that of hot-dip galvanized steel plate (including 2 times higher in marine climates and about 6 times higher in industrial atmospheres), but its shear edge protection performance is not as good as hot-dip galvanizing, which is between hot-dip galvanizing and hot-dip aluminum plating, making up for the shortcomings of this performance of aluminum plated steel plate. The cutting edge protection performance of aluminum plated steel plates is the worst among the above-mentioned types of coated steel plates. The processing formability of aluminum zinc alloy coated steel plate is comparable to that of hot-dip galvanizing, but not as good as Galfan. And the processing formability of aluminum plated steel plates is the worst. Due to its superior high-temperature oxidation resistance among the various coatings mentioned above, aluminum plated steel plates are often directly used as structures such as roof panels without painting.
