Generally, the pre-treatment process of hot-dip galvanizing is “degreasing-pickling-rinsing-fluxing. Therefore, the main function of the enclosed pickling room is to clean the metal surface, principles shown as follows:

1.Oil removal of black items: When steel is exposed for a long time, its surface is prone to generate oxides or grease, which affect the quality and performance of steel. The hydrochloric acid solution added to the pickling tank can quickly remove the oxides and grease on the metal surface and restore the metal surface to a smooth and clean state. All in all, the pickling workshop can remove the oil stains and oxides on the surface by dissolving and decomposing.

2. Fluxing: The flux can further remove the iron salts and oxides on the surface of the steel, so that the steel has the maximum surface activity when entering molten zinc solution, thereby accelerating the infiltration and reaction.

In the pre-treatment stage, hydrogen chloride and ammonium chloride are volatile, which cause certain pollution to workers and environment, so an enclosed room is needed to isolate workers to ensure their personal safety. At the same time, the enclosed room will be used in conjunction with designated environmental protection equipment to treat the acid mist from pickling tanks to meet local environmental standards.
