The difference between high and low molecular hyaluronic acid

High molecular hyaluronic acid:

It is our most commonly used hyaluronic acid. Its molecular weight ranges from 1 million to 1.7 million. It can form a breathable film on the epidermis of the skin, making the skin smooth and moist, and can block the invasion of foreign bacteria, dust and ultraviolet rays. The skin is protected from damage; to put it simply, its film-forming properties are better, that is, its ability to lock water is better, but its absorption by the skin requires lower molecular weights.

Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid:

The molecular weight is below 1 million, generally between 200,000 and 800,000. It can penetrate deep into the dermis, slightly expand capillaries, increase blood circulation, promote metabolism, and improve skin nutrient absorption. That is, it is easily absorbed by the skin, but the water retention capacity is less.

Ultra low molecular weight:

The molecular weight is 3,000-10,000Da, which can be absorbed through the skin and deeply care for the skin; no cytotoxicity, high safety; strong antioxidant activity; easier to absorb, and the skin feels refreshing. It can enter the skin for deep moisturizing. The polymer hyaluronic acid forms a protective film on the skin surface to prevent the evaporation of water inside the skin. The two moisturizing mechanisms are different. When used together, they can play a synergistic effect and achieve better skin care effects.
