What is the best material for watch bracelet?

This is eternal question. very good question, maybe we break down their features, then you will know how to choose. we list 304, 316, 316L, 904L. All of them belong to Austenitic Stainless steel. they are steel alloy in same specific cystalline structure. but of course they are not same good for all products.

304, mainly use for home and kitchen in pipes and cookwares.as it is widely use and in relatively low price, and the component incl Chromium 18% and nickle 8%, it is less corrosion resistant, and There are more carbon in material. the color of 304 is darker than other 3 steels. in short the material in 304 for watches or watch bands in low end quality. 

316 and 316L,  there are more chromium and nickle and some molybdenum, so it is more high corrosion resistant, they are only use for more demanding products, like Surgical insturments, also called Surgical steel, as its feature is to easy to process the shape to fit. and they are in  good anti- corroison and acid, use for nuclear and in marine. the difference of 316 and 316L, L stands for low carbon, although they are in same attributes, 316L is in using for goods in more welding as it has more stable in high temperature and high corrosion condition than 316. so more hight end watches and watch bands in 316L. due to good price ratio and easy to process to shape and Magnetism resistant, 316L is good enough for watch bracelet and watch band.

904L, everyone knows it is for rlx watches, very expensive, but it is not everyone can afford it and harder to process. it is not proper material for ordinary people.
