Improvement of concrete strength:Semi-encrypted silica fume improves the strength of concrete by reacting with the hydration products of cement and calcium hydroxide to form a dense physical structure and increase the austenite content of concrete. It also improves the early strength of concrete and shortens setting time.
Improvement of working properties of concrete: microsilica  fills concrete pores, reduces permeability and improves durability of concrete. It also reduces the alkali-silica reaction of concrete and avoids expansion and cracking of concrete and mating materials. In addition, silica fume can improve the flow and pumping properties of concrete, improve thickening and self-flow, and reduce shrinkage and deformation.
Increase densification: Due to the fine particles of silica fume, it can fill the concrete micropores uniformly, which makes the microporous volume of concrete reduce significantly, thus increasing its densification.
