AZ31B hot rolled magnesium alloy plate is one of the main products and the most popular hot rolled magnesium alloy plate of Luoyang Maige Magnesium Co. The thickness of this magnesium plate is 0.3mm-200mm.

Magnesium alloy can be divided into deformed magnesium alloy and cast magnesium alloy according to the manufacturing process, AZ31B magnesium alloy belongs to deformed magnesium alloy with good mechanical properties, mainly used for automobile parts, machine parts shell cover and communication equipment. Compared with cast magnesium alloy, AZ31B deformed magnesium alloy has higher strength, better plasticity, mainly used for thin plate, extrusion and forgings.

The chemical composition of AZ31B is shown as follows

Al (Aluminum) 2.5-3.5;

Zn (Zinc) 0.6-1.4;

Mn (Manganese) 0.2-1.0;

Ca (Calcium) < 0.04;

Si (Silicon) < 0.08;

Fe (Iron) < 0.003;

Cu (Copper) < 0.01;

Ni (Nickel) < 0.001;

Mg (Magnesium) Rest;

Other elements < 0.3;

Rolling is one of the main methods for producing magnesium alloy plates, which can produce plates of different thicknesses and widths. Rolling is also the most cost-effective method of preparing magnesium alloy plates in plastic forming method, the rolling process can refine the grain, improve the organization and significantly improve the mechanical properties of the alloy, a variety of rolling processes have been developed over the years.

Hot rolling is one of the types of hot rolling, in general, hot rolling is through the hot extrusion of the open billet rolled into the required shape of the rolling process method. As the extrusion process is carried out in the extrusion cylinder, it makes the plate heat dissipation slower and maximizes the degree of plasticity, which can inhibit the generation of magnesium alloy cracks to a certain extent, so the method is suitable for most of the production of magnesium alloy plates, but the method still has some shortcomings, such as the size of the rolled plate can't be too large, the material is wasted in the process of rolling, the finished product rate is low, and the investment in equipment and instruments is large.
